Here we will present to you in regular intervalls great free maps which you can use with your GPS! Free maps are a great alternative to commercial maps as commercial maps are quite expensive, and cover only very few countries. Free maps are available of almost every country in the world!

This basic map of the area south of Santo Domingo includes Las Americas International Airport and the region around Boca Chica. The railway and most roads (without roadnames though) are included. Nice basic map of Honduras

Here you find a simple roadmap of Honduras. This link refers to Mapcenter which is a really nice big database with alomst 2000 maps of more than 130 countries. The quality of the maps differs from extremely good to rather basic. Usually the maps can be downloaded as .img file which you can send directly to you Garmin GPS device. You can also download an .exe file which automatically integrates the map into Mapsource.

Map of the main volcanos of Mexico

The maps are of the volcanos: Pico de Orizaba, Cofre de Perote, Popocatepetl und Iztaccihuatl, Nevado de Toluca, La Malinche and Nevado de Colima. They are quite good and include roads, trails, contour lines, rivers and some POIs. The maps are single .img file, which you can either integrate manually in Mapsource or send it directly to your Garmin GPS device .

In this site you find contour lines of all of Mexico in 100m Intervall. The only problem is, that every tile has to be downloaded individually. The site is also only in spanish, you still find everything you need, and otherwise google translate can help you.
